Butterball Farms, Inc, is actively seeking a highly motivated, results oriented professional to join our growing organization. This position can be Home based anywhere in the US or based in Grand Rapids, MI.  This is a tremendous opportunity! 

In this front-line role, you will focus on identifying business opportunities with Packaged Goods Companies.  To support these activities you will understand potential customer's business and how to add value with our customized product solutions. Additional responsibilities will be centered around development  and calling on target accounts including complex accounts, exploring various sources to gain insight to market trends, and identification of product innovation opportunities. You will also collaborate with key company leaders to formulate action plans and make decisions to be executed.

In addition you will proactively establish relationships with new groups, develop and present proposals, organize and attend trade shows, participate in company initiatives and teams, initiate and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, and understand plant operations and capabilities. Up to 30% travel will be required.

Qualifications:

• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales and profit goals in the food products industry selling on value
• Strong project management skills including time management
• Strong communication skills; ability to speak effectively on the telephone and before groups and communicate and collaborate effectively with the sales team
• Expert listener with the ability to ask power questions, ability to probe to gather pertinent information and tailor communication to specific customer issues
• Proven ability to develop strong customer relationships
• Excellent negotiation skills to close the sale
• Experience developing and presenting innovative business cases/presentations and identifying opportunities to meet customer needs
• Experience following a disciplined, consistent sales process to produce results
• Honest and ethical
• Valid Driver's license
• Excellent written communication skills including use of grammar
• Experience using Microsoft Office with efficient speed
• Good problem solving skills
• Passionate about our exceptional products and committed to communicating and selling
• Resourceful and strategically focused
• Will have verifiable contacts with packaged goods or prepared foods accounts, (contact meaning you have SOLD product to the account, not just called on them) and documented pattern of growth
• Preferences:
  • Three years experience successfully selling to key accounts in consumer packaged food industry
  • Knowledge of food industry, distribution, retailing or manufacturing
  • Current contacts with major retailers and co-packers
  • Knowledgeable with current trends and developments in the Flavor/Ingredient field
